My daughter is on the #2 California state champion team, with 3 other seniors; 1 who has verballed to a D1 college. She plays AAU, as well where 7 of her senior friends have not gotten offers. They are all looking for that "D1" status. I try to tell them there are very good D2 schools out there, and if we just have too, D3 (community college, is not a bad place to start and move on up) thanks again.
